Twenty years ago "Killer" Joe Delia and I were itinerant musicians playing every kind of job imaginable – clubs, causals, cruise ships – we even bumped strippers and rim-shotted bad comedians! Ever since, we've played a lot of music, with and without each other. However, even when we weren't gigging together we remained close friends." Neither of us has ever forgotten those days and remember them to be a great time to be young and in a band. It didn't matter that the hours were long and the pay short -- we were doing what we loved. When the music's happening -- there is no greater reward.
That's the spirit we brought to these recordings and the spirit in which we present them to you. The music tells the story: Scene Of The Crime, written by Joe Delia and Pete Yellen, is a Texas shuffle with Jimmy Vivino on lead vocal. Jimmy's a blues shouter by inclination and here he adds his own story of loss to countless others told by generations of blues men and women. --Max Weinberg
