Collection: CAPPELLA NOVA: THE MUSICAL HERITAGE SOCIETY RECORDINGS
In 1984, the New York Times wrote "New York, for all its variegated musical resources, has few vocal ensembles of true excellence. Cappella Nova, in terms of tone, technique, sophistication and seriousness of purpose, has stood consistently above its colleagues." Richard Taruskin, the late writer, critic and musician directed this choral group. Their first recording for The Musical Heritage Society won the first Noah Greenberg Award from the American Musicological Society.
