Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) is one of New York City's foremost and most versatile musical organizations, thriving as a chamber orchestra, performing group, and educator. Founded in 1974 as the St. Luke's Chamber Ensemble by Michael Feldman, its core originated from musicians performing intimate concerts at the Church of St. Luke in the Fields in Greenwich Village. The ensemble quickly gained recognition for its refined musicianship and collegial spirit, officially incorporating as OSL in 1979.

Renowned for its adaptable size and distinctive sound – characterized by clarity, warmth, and vitality – OSL performs a remarkably diverse repertoire, ranging from Baroque masterpieces to contemporary commissions. It operates primarily as a self-governing ensemble, fostering deep artistic partnerships with a wide array of the world's leading conductors and soloists, rather than having a single music director.

OSL is a regular presence at Carnegie Hall, presenting its own subscription series, and serves as a resident orchestra for various presenters and festivals. Its permanent home is The DiMenna Center for Classical Music in Midtown Manhattan, New York City's first rehearsal, recording, and performance space acoustically optimized for classical music, which also serves as a hub for the broader NYC music community.
